Topaze
Topaz is a mineral that occurs in pegmatites and quartz veins formed under high temperatures, as well as in cavities of granite and rhyolites. It is a hydroxyl and fluorine-containing aluminum nesosilicate with the chemical formula: AI2SiO4(OH,F)2. Topaz is best known for its use as a gemstone. In pure form it is colorless but there are often impurities in the crystals that can make it yellow, brown, red and white. But it is often heated artificially, which also makes it bright blue or pink. However, it can always be recognized by a white stripe color. The hardness is by definition 8 and the crystal system is orthonombic.
