Sandstone

Sandstone is a sedimentary rock composed mainly of sand grains. The sand is often formed by weathering of the rock. it consists of oxide with quartz as the main compound. Sandstone can take on many textures and colours, these colors vary from light yellow to red to very dark brown. This sandstone comes from the famous Morrison formation in Wyoming, USA. One where some of the world's most famous dinosaurs come from such as diplodocus, stegosaurus and allosaurus.
