Rhyolite
The term Rhyolite (lipariet is an older synonym) was coined by the Baron von Richthoven from the Greek for Flowing Lava. It is a fierce igneous rock and indeed an effluent rock that solidifies on the surface. The name translated name of this stone type "flowing lava" is therefore a correct name. Small crystals can be recognized in rhyolite. However, large crystals will always be missing from this rock because it has cooled too quickly for this. The main minerals encountered in rhyolite are quartz, potassium feldspar and plagioclase. In addition, traces may be present here and there for biotite, afibole and pyroxene present.
