Opal
Opal is a mineral that chemically has a lot in common with quartz. There are many varieties of opal, most of which are amorphous with a monotonous color. Think of blue, green, yellow and pink opal. There are exceptions however some opals have all kinds of colors that adjust when different light hits, these are the more expensive opals. fire opal, welo opal and of course the Australian black & bull opal which have astronomical market value. The latter is certainly the case when there is a lot of red in the color play.
