These beautiful loose valves of Cyclocardia scalaris come from the neogene of Mill, the Netherlands. The species can be recognized of similar species by the ribs, these run closer together towards the umbo than the other Cyclocardia species. Some of these specimens have a borehole of a carnivorous snail, eg Naticidae.
