The mineral anapaite is a calcium iron phosphate with the chemical formula : Ca2Fe2+(PO4)2 · 4H2O. It is commonly found in iron ores and in cavities of fossiliferous rocks. It also occasionally occurs in pegmatites. The mineral is named after the Anapa type location in Russia. The color of anapaite varies from light green to blue-green and dark green, however the stripe color is always white.
