Phillipsite
Phillipsite is a hydrated potassium sodium calcium aluminum silicate belonging to the zeolites. The mineral is translucent, white or pale pink in color and the crystal system is monoclinic. Phillipsite is named after an English mineral eye named William Phillips. The mineral is commonly found in igneous rocks, but also in environments such as salt lakes. The type location is the Aci Castello at the foot of the Etna volcano in Sicily, Italy.
