Physogaleus contortus
Physogaleus contortus is also known as the false or long tooth tiger shark. It is called the "false tiger shark" because its teeth are often confused with those of the tiger shark. The difference is that the crown "the first point" is often longer (hence the name Long Tooth) than on the Galeocerdo shark teeth. In addition, there is a kind of kink in it and they are generally a bit smaller. The last point to pay attention to is that the teeth have less serrated edges than in tiger sharks.
