Opaal
This opal from Lightningridge, Australia is cut in a beam shape. It should be noted that the beam is not ground perfectly straight. The stone has a nice gray potsh but a few sand spots. On the one hand, that gray potsh is clearly visible, on the other side (the largest part of the stone) a beautiful bright light green color is present. This light green color consists of small specks that seem to change shape as soon as you hold the stone in a different position. It is a beautiful stone to use in jewelry, but it is also a wonderful addition to a mineral/gemstone collection.
