Welo Opal
These are small pieces of Ethiopian or opal from Ethiopia. After the Australian opal, this is one of the more expensive opal varieties. Ethiopian opal has the same color play as the Australian opal but is much lighter in color and therefore easy to distinguish. There is also a variant called chocolate opal, but this is much copied by burning ordinary welo opals.
