Description
Soort : Glossus Sp, / Poli, 1801
Glossus shells are bivalves that are also called ram's horn shells.
Location : Mill, Noord-Brabant, The Netherlands
Geological age : Miocene
Length : 20 tot 35 mm
Width : 17 tot 31 mm
Hight : 11 tot 20 mm
Glossus Sp,
These pieces of fossil shell come from the glossus or ram horn shells. Only the umbo (which resembles a ram's horn) is preserved. The rest was probably lost in Mill's suction dredger. And they are therefore not complete, but they are nice pieces of a closed site.
