Oyster - Beckum
A beautiful fossil oyster from the Upper Campanian, chalk from the town of Beckum in Germany. The block of sandstone/matrix used to be a lot bigger, so I reduced it. Unfortunately I went just a little too far with this because it broke through the middle. Fortunately it was a fracture that was easy to glue, but this fracture is still clearly visible, and the glue can still be seen at the bottom.
