Biotite Mica
Biotite mica or iron mica is a mineral belonging to the mica group. The mica group contains all minerals that sit on top of each other like thin slices, so that you can easily remove them from each other. The mineral biotite mica is a phyllosilicate with the chemical formula; K(Mg,Fe2+)3AlSi3O10(OH,F)2. The color can vary from green to red, brown and black, the hardness is 2.5 to 3 and biotite mica belongs to the monoclinic crystal system. Mica is a rock-forming mineral that is often found in granite, gneiss and schist, but it can also occur in other rocks.
